On June 1, 2024, Rev. Fr. Luis Jose Armas was ordained a priest by His Eminence, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, at The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Houston, TX. The sacred ceremony marked a significant milestone in Fr. Armas’s journey of faith and dedication to the Catholic Church.

 

The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart was filled with family, friends, and members of the Catholic community, all gathered to witness the ordination of Fr. Armas. Cardinal DiNardo, known for his inspirational sermons and leadership, performed the ordination, conferring upon Fr. Armas the sacrament of Holy Orders. The atmosphere was one of reverence and joy as the congregation celebrated this new chapter in the life of the Church.

The following day, on June 2, 2024, Rev. Fr. Luis Jose Armas celebrated his first Mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Cherry Street in Tomball. The church was packed with parishioners eager to participate in this momentous occasion. Fr. Armas delivered a heartfelt homily, expressing his gratitude to God, his mentors, and his family for their unwavering support throughout his journey to priesthood.

“It is a profound honor to stand before you today as a newly ordained priest,” Fr. Armas said during his homily. “I am deeply grateful for the love and support I have received from this community and am excited to begin my ministry here among you.”

The celebration of his first Mass was followed by a reception in the parish hall, where attendees had the opportunity to congratulate Fr. Armas and have him bless them. The event was filled with laughter, joy, and a strong sense of community, reflecting the warmth and support that St. Ann’s Catholic Church is known for.
