A stabbing incident at Miami International Airport late Saturday evening left one person critically injured, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department. The attack prompted the evacuation of two concourses.
Normal airport operations have since resumed, police stated in a news release on Sunday morning.
The investigation indicates that the male suspect and the victim were on the fourth floor of Terminal J around 11:30 p.m. when the attack occurred.
“Without provocation, the suspect attacked the victim by stabbing her multiple times and attempted to throw her over the railing,” the release said. “The victim managed to escape and ran down the stairs to the third floor, where officers found her.”
