Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the 17-year-old son of football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has signed his first professional contract with AC Milan. Following in his father’s footsteps, Maximilian is set to feature with the Milan youth team next season.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who retired from professional football last year, had an illustrious career playing for top clubs such as Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United. He concluded his playing days with AC Milan and is now serving as an advisor for the club. During his two spells at AC Milan, Zlatan scored 93 goals in 163 games and played a crucial role in securing Serie A titles in 2011 and 2022.
Maximilian’s signing marks the continuation of the Ibrahimovic legacy at AC Milan, where his father left an indelible mark both on and off the pitch.
Former Sweden international Ibrahimovic scored 511career club goals and won 34 trophies – including 12 league titles.
In a career that began in the last century, the 42-year-old was nominated for the Ballon d’Or 11 times.
The striker is also his country’s all-time top scorer with 62 international goals in 122 matches.
