His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. KON Orizu III, CON, JP, has announced a three-day mourning period to honor the late Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebubechukwuzo), who recently passed away in the United Kingdom. HRH urges the people of Nnewi, along with non-indigenous residents, to participate in mourning the loss of this esteemed son of Nnewi. He also calls upon clergies from various religious groups to lead their congregations in prayers for the peaceful repose of Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

The mourning period will begin today, July 30th, 2024, and will conclude on August 1st, 2024.

In politics, Ifeanyi Ubah was servingas a Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in Nigeria. He was involved in various political activities and campaigns and is known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly in education and healthcare. Ubah also made significant contributions to sports in Nigeria, notably by establishing the Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club, which competes in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
